1. "Left Click" "Add>>" from the dialog box above.
2. The "List Of Printers" box appears.
3. "Click" on "Install Unlisted" printer.
4. A dialog box will appear requesting you to insert the floppy disk that contains the printer driver.
5. Note: When you purchase a new printer, the printer driver will come with it either on a floppy disk or on a CD ROM or both. Make sure that you get a floppy disk if you do not have a CD.
6. Insert the printer driver disk and select "OK".
7. Another dialog box appears listing all of the printer drivers on that particular floppy disk.
8. Select the exact printer that you have purchased. Choose "OK".
9. The "List of Printers" box again appears with the new printer listed.
10. Point and highlight the new printer.
11. Go to the "Set As Default Printer" button and "click" the button.
12. Now, "Click" on "Setup"
13. The "Setup" box for your new printer appears.
14. In the "Setup" dialog box, choose the size of paper you are using, and the "source" which is normally the default tray of paper.
15. Note: You can always change your printer setup. You will learn how to do this when you learn how to print from a word processing program.
16. Tip: If you are having printer problems the solution is normally to get an updated printer driver. You can either call the manufacturer, or if you are on the Internet, you can always download the current printer driver.
17. Important: Don't try to save money by purchasing an inexpensive printer. It is best to purchase a medium or high priced printer. The less expensive ones will give you nothing but trouble.
