Dayton Daily News Article About Community Networks, and about NACNET.

Englewood Independent July 24, 1996 article on NACNET

Purpose:

The Northmont Area Community Network (NACNET) was founded to promote community awareness and communications in an area consisting of four governmental units. The four governmental units consist of Clayton, Englewood, Phillipsburg, and Union. The area of the network follows the pattern of the Northmont School District which also encompasses the four governments. The Northmont School District is the glue which binds the four individualistic governmental units into the Northmont community.

Although the NACNET is not connected in any direct manner and has received no school board financial support, a large part of the network is devoted to the Northmont School District because solid communications with the community at large are vital to the future of the School District. NACNET will provide students, faculty and the administration with the opportunity to fully utilize the promotional and communications attributes of the Internet.

The Northmont Area Community Network (NACNET)is an Ohio non-profit corporation.
first produced on October 1, 1995.
