As a resident of the city of Englewood I would like to say I am totally disgusted with our mayor, city manager and city government. I am a member of the Randolph Township Fire Department and have been since I moved to Englewood in May of 1996.
Not once have I ever had a citizen complain to me about how long it took a medic to respond to their needs; I have had nothing but compliments. It is so strange that the fire and EMS subject did not surface until the Randolph and Clayton merger issue was brought up, our mayor and our city manager never brought up a negative issue until now.
In closing I would like to say to the leaders of my city, leave Randolph Township and Clayton alone to determine their own future, and the next time you want to spend thousands of dollars on a lawsuit how about asking the citizens that voted you in how we feel. After all, it is our money you are spending, and we are happy with the fire/EMS service.
