The Northmont Area of Montgomery County, Ohio is situated along Interstate 70 just
North of Dayton, Ohio. The area is made up of four jurisdictions with distinctive types
of government. The Northmont area has a combined population of just over 35,000. The
citizens of each town identify themselves with both their towns and the Northmont School
District which is the glue binding the identity of the community.
The Northmont communications and transportation infrastructure is superior to most metropolitan areas and suburbs of larger cities. Telephone communications are provided by both Ameritech and General Telephone. Power is provided by the Dayton Power and Light Company which serves almost the entire Southwestern part of Ohio. The Dayton International Airport is less than 5 miles from the Northmont Area and there are two excellent local airports which handle executive aircraft. It has direct access to both Interstates 70 & 75. Public transportation is provided by the Montgomery County Regional Transportation Authority. |
