When are the old messages going to be removed from the posted messages. For example-the old fire department messages now appear to be old history. It is time to clean up the posted message areas.

The merger vote and the no joint fire department vote has created a unique situation-three cities situated adjacent to one another in a common area. Tri-Cities(Englewood, Union, Clayton) and the Northmont Area. With the voters having established each city as an independent political entity, it is now an opportune time to support and develop community unity within each city and to support and develop mutual interests and mutual aid as may be necessary and justified. Progressive Northmont community leadership will lead the way into the into the 21st century. The future looks better and brighter in Northmont. Hobert Robbins Englewood, OH

I feel that with the recent calls with randolph township where it took in excess of ten minutes to respond to is a good sing that englewood needs there own fire and rescue service for the sake of the community. Emglewood plans on staffing two EMS crews at the same time while randolph only staffs one. And there would be smaller districts to provide care.

The ongoing political debates in the Northmont Community had created a situation that can only be peacefully resolved by the following: 1) Support ENGLEWOOD INDEPENDENCE 2) Support Independence for Union 3) Support Independence for Clayton 4) Develop mutual aid for mutual interests between the three seperate political entities(ENGLEWOOD, UNION, & Clayton.) Support and respect separate political independence. 5) Rebuild a community base of community interests without PIG(Political interest group) and Pac(political attack committees) attacks on either ENGLEWOOD, UNION or Clayton. Allow the CRAP(Clayton resource action plan) to continue without interference or to be a base for future further consolidation of the Independent cities of Englewood and Union into the one city of Clayton. The strategy of precipating a merger vote for the Township of Randolph and the Village of Clayton has worked very well. The strategy of appropriating the assets of the Randolph Township Fire-department and Emergency medical sevice into the new City of Clayton as a result of state law has not worked well because of the political fallout. The strategy of having political interests groups(PIGS) in ENGLEWOOD and UNION initiate petitions for a new joint fire department has called attention to and demostrated how a vital community service can be used as a very dominant political club. Assuming that a new joint fire-department agreement is reached between the independent entities of ENGKLEWOOD, UNION and Clayton, What is to stop the same PIGS(political interest groups) from initiating a new petition for a new joint city combining the cities of ENGLEWOOD, UNION and Clayton into one larger city dominated by and controlled the politicians of Randolph. This may be a potentially brilliant political strategy, but is a sensible, rational strategy for future economic and community in the Northmont area. It is certainy a matter for further for further investigative inquiry.

The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. When you are presenting evidence in a court of law you are required to swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Are the citizens of Englewood and the citizens of Union not entitled to the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth in this trial to which they as residents are being subjected to in the politicans court now in sesssion in the Northmont area. In today's mail (5-15-97) there was a 5 page political newsletter purporting to show the results of the scientific survey of Englewood voters and Union voters conducted March 24-27,1997, by Strategic Visioning, Inc. Does the group who are listed on the newsletter wish to assert or to swear that the contents of the newsletter as based on the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. How about Mr. Ted Gudorf, who is an attorney, and a Randolph Trustee. Or Mr. Robert Hine, listed as a Randolph Trustee, are you willing to assert or to swear that the results purported in the newsletter and in the public announcements regarding the survey, are the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. And Ms. Joyce Deitering-Are you willing to come before the citizenry of Englewood and of Union and assert that all information publically presented regarding the survey are the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. After all, with all the comment being presented about the benefits of the new City of Clayton, it would hardly seem likely that anyone would want to present false or misleading information or evidence within the local community, on the internet and within the context of the court of world opinion. Also, the citizenry of Englewood of Union have the right to be informed of all funds and disposition of funds including interest and earnings on funds, to which they may have contributed as taxpayers. Also, the citizenry of Englewood and of Union have the right to know all of the questions which were presented to selected voters of the respective cities. Also, the citizenry of Englewood and the citizenry of Union have the right to pursue their own individual or collective investigative inquiry into all areas of these political events. Anyone who doubts that might wish to E-mail a substantiating inquiry to Mr. Bill Clinton at the White House. He is listed on the White House Intenet page and he most certaintly has been subjected to intense investigative inquiry for the past several years as has been frequently and widely reported in the media. In addition to the Randolph Township letter which was being distributed on 5-14-97, there was also being distributed by other parties, copies of emergency ordinances passed by Englewood City Council. Emergency ordinance 97-11 allows for the execution of a contract for management services to construct a new fire station in Englewood. Emergency ordinance 97-12 allows for the cooperation of the Cities of Englewood and Union in the joint development of a new joint fire department. Also, there was also distributed a form allegedly a part of the Fire department survey, which was not made a part of the final survey information for public presentation and paid for by Englewood and Union Fire and EMS tax dollars. Part 1 of the graphical display relates to the distribution of assets of the Randolph Township Fire Department and the survey results were allegedly as follows: The Randolph Township Fire Department assets should be split between the new City clayton, Englewood and Union. Alleged results- 1-Strongly agree or agree-62% 2-Undecided or don't know-16% 3-Strongly disagree or disagree-22% Part 2 of the alegedly unavailable information: Which one person do you thing is the greatest stumbling block to the settlement of the fire protection issue? 1) Don't know-35% 2) No one person-24% 3) Ted Gudorf-18% 4) Ed Kemper-8% 5) Eric Smith-7% 6) John Applegate-2% 7) Joyce Deitering-1% 8) Dave Evans-1% Th most pertinent question in these ongoing issues is very simply who is telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. After all who is the real jury in this case. And who is the real victims in the injustice which has and is being perpetrated. The citizens of Englewood and of Union. If there is now a compelling reason for the citizens of Englewood and the citizens of Union to now vote on a joint fire issue. Why was there not an equally compelling reason to allow the citizens of Englewood and the citizens of Union to vote on the merger of Randolph Township and the Village of Clayton. That vote effectively eliminated the Randolph Township Fire department when the new City of Clayton is formed as the law of Ohio makes the assets of the township the assets of the new City of Clayton. As an attorney, Mr. Gudorf know the law and can he truthfully assert that he did not have a foresight of the outcome of the consolidation vote and the political consequences tjhat it would create for the Cities of Englewood and of Union. Every citizen has a right to truthful, reliable information regarding the issues affecting all of the Northmont Community. This is the only way to function as an informed citizenry. The political actions comittees (PAC) have launched an all out attack on the rights of the citizens of Englewood and the citizens of Union. In addition the political interests g

I share with many of the same concerns of Englewood residents with the political scenario which has developed over the past few years. I feel that now is timely and appropriate for all concerned Englewood residents to demostrate their concerns by initiating a personal investgative inquiry into all areas of the community development process which has been documented in the local media and certain an ongoing topic among concerned citizens. It is timely and appropriate that all concerned citizens begin investigating all the political issues and all persons who are demonstrating a political interest or acting in a political fashion with respect to the Northmont, Randolph Township, Clayton, Englewood, and Union community development issues. Inquiring citizens have a right to know about the public figures who are trying so vigorously to influnce the direction of future community development. As public figures their backgrounds and behaviors are certainly of great public importance and now it is time for the background and biographical history to be made available to the inquiring citizenry. The ongoing background in the federal government surrounding the presidents and other federal officials certainly and clearly establishes the right and the justification for appropriate inquiry with regard to the political participants and issues, even as they may be of a local focus. Certainly, in a court of law all persons who are providing information and testimony are expected to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Are the citizens in all the Northmont communities expected to settle for anything less than the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. A citizens investigative inquiry into the Northmont political situation is certainly now justified and I am hopeful that other concerned Englewood citizens will certaily persue their own investigative inquiry. May the best be had for those who do pursue and support Englewood Independence and may they also support the Englewood Freedom Firefighters (and (EMTS).

ATTENTION ENGLEWOOD RESIDENTS The City of Englewood is considering starting a NEW FIRE AND EMS SERVICE, along with the city Of Union. This is nothing but a POLITICAL move which jeopardizes the safety of all city residents. A study by the city two years ago showed that you and your neighbors, by 95%, were very satisfied with the Fire and EMS service. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN LEARNING MORE ABOUT THIS AND WANT TO KEEP THE POLITICS OUT ...COME JOIN YOUR FRIENDS, NEIGHBORS, FIREFIGHTERS AND EMS PERSONNEL FOR AN INFORMATIONAL ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING. ENGLEWOOD HOLIDAY INN, TUESDAY. APRIL 8,1997 AT 7 P.M. Signed:Concerned Citizens for One Fire Service.
