Englewood can soon say it has a "dimensional marketer" among its repertoire of local businesses, now that Ideal Image Inc. will be building a warehouse facility within the Englewood Industrial Park.

In laymen's terms, Ideal Image will design, build, and service exhibits for businesses, restaurants and trade shows. According to company President Dale Paugh, the business has grown tremendously since he and his wife, Belinda, began the venture about three years ago.

"In this business you are exposed to so many people, because of businesses merging," said Paugh. "Plus, we may do exhibits for a business that has a parent company, then we're asked to do work for them. We obtain business by word of mouth, and if you do a good job, your name gets around.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held for Ideal Image's future display and design division location, as well as the company's administrative group. The building, when constructed, will be capable of warehousing up to 90,000 square feet. The new location at 115 Haas Drive will complement the company's two other locations, 1003 S. Brown School Road, Vandalia and 4470 Taylorsville Road in Huber Heights.

In addition to needing additional space, Paugh said the location and design of the warehouse will be of great benefit. "The two other locations are inferior to what our exhibit building needs are," said Paugh, "and the location is conducive to interstate traffic. It's very accessible. Plus, the building will be custom designed to meet our needs."

The Paugh's business originally started as a design and construction company specializing in architectural and institutional case work, but soon got involved in designing and constructing up-scale, restaurants as well as creative fixtures production for nationally known fast food chains.

The company's evolution now requires the new division that will be located in Englewood.

As husband and wife, the Paughs form a unique business bond with Belinda being a partner and the chief financial officer.

The Paughs, Northmont area residents, employ more than 30 people and hope to be in the new facility by Thanksgiving, and Dale said of the building, "It will be one of the nicest facilities in the area."

Ideal Image's Vandalia and Huber Heights locations will continue to be maintained, said Paugh.
